What this milling simulator reads.

The interpreter stops when an unsupported command could make later coordinates uncertain. Warnings and the displayed result apply only to the capabilities listed here.

Motion and units

G00, G01, G02 and G03 in G17, G18 or G19; planar and helical arcs; G20/G21; G90/G91; and G94 feed per minute.

Offsets and tools

Configured G54–G59 origins, G40, validated G43 H/G49 state, numbered tool definitions, T selection and M06 changes.

Drilling and machine state

G80, G81, G82 and G83 in G17 with G98/G99 returns, plus S, F, M03/M04/M05, M08/M09 and M30.

CURRENT LIMITATIONS

Know what is not modelled.

  • Vertical 3-axis, 2.5D heightfield stock only; undercuts, back-side cuts and arbitrary solid/CSG machining are not represented.
  • G41/G42 cutter compensation, G44, macros, variables, subprograms, probing and controller-specific cycles are not supported.
  • Machine travel, rotary axes, runout, deflection, spindle acceleration and controller look-ahead are not modelled.
  • Workholding uses conservative axis-aligned collision envelopes rather than detailed fixture CAD; machine enclosure, table and axis travel are not modelled.
  • The interactive renderer is limited to 40,000 stock cells; choose Auto or a coarser grid for larger billets.
  • Material removal is deterministic at the selected heightfield resolution; undercuts and geometry below an already-cut top surface remain outside the model.
